Heavy Weathering Sponges are coarse-textured foam sponges used to stipple chipping, battle damage, and heavy rust effects onto Warhammer miniatures and vehicles. Each pack contains 50 sponges, each measuring 10mm x 10mm x 10mm, enough to weather an entire army.

Painting battle damage freehand is time-consuming and difficult to make look random and natural. Stippling with a sponge produces the kind of irregular, scattered chipping pattern that actually looks realistic, in a fraction of the time.
